✨Shopaholic’s Dream Dressing Room ✨

✨What girl doesn’t want her very own dream space to store her ever increasing hoard of shoes, clothes , makeup , handbags, accessories and whatever else we fancy going on a shopping spree for?😍

✨Unfortunately 😭 for most of us our dream dressing room is limited to wishful doodles on our notebooks or an ever growing collection of virtual boards on pin interest.

✨For most of us the celebrity dressing spaces that we swoon over are bigger than our entire living spaces. Nevertheless that doesn’t have to stop one from dreaming. For me personally given my obsession with organization having my own personal room where I can have a place for everything and everything in its place is the ultimate dream come true.

✨Normally Iike most people I’m short of storage space so my clothes are fighting for space inside my closet along with my shoes and my poor handbags find themselves stashed on a shelf somewhere.

✨My usual getting ready routine involves a trip to my closet for clothes, another to the dresser for undies, a third to the bathroom for toiletries and makeup and yet another one to the dresser again where I have a mirror with enough lighting to ensure I’m not walking around with lipstick on my teeth.

✨So my must have dressing room simply has to be a space that contains all of my getting ready essentials in one place. Here’s a look at what items would be a must have for my dream dressing room.

✨Lighting for example is so important. I personally hate white light I feel it washes me out and makes all my imperfections glaringly obvious. A well lit room with warm light in my choice of light fixtures : I personally love chandeliers they become a focal point in the room and illuminate the space. I love this open chandelier from Arhaus it not only adds visual interest but provides ample light.

✨You can add additional lighting by means of floor lamps or in my case I prefer sconces esp around the vanity to provide light and add a decorative touch.

✨Speaking of vanities I have always wanted a dedicated space where I can sit and do my hair and makeup. ✨This vanity table is sleek enough to fit into tight spaces and the tufted chair is supremely comfortable for long makeover sessions add a mirror and you are all set for  your very own makeover party 😘

✨Moving on to the most important part of a dressing space the storage. I am not a huge fan of bulky closets which I why I prefer this closet rack on wheels.✨It’s spacious, airy and offers storage on the bottom as well. You can have multiple of these lining both sides of the room. If you are still short on space consider adding shelves to the walls to make use of the all the vertical space.

✨Moving on to additional seating, every girl needs a place for trying on shoes. I love leather and this ottoman is the perfect size for a smaller space.

✨You can add warmth and color to any space by adding a rug. Blue is my favorite color and it’s soft underfoot.
✨Finally a full length mirror is a must in any dressing space. ✨ I love the simple wooden frame on this mirror which makes it work with a lot of different design aesthetics.

✨I hope you enjoyed the mini tour of my imaginary dream dressing room 😘 Hopefully it’s inspired you to design your own dream space. Just remember even a small space can be multifunctional if you make smart design choices so how do you design your dream dressing space let me know in the comments below.

Until next time xoxo 💋!
