✨Shopaholic’s Product Review : Pacifica Dreamy Cover Serum Foundation✨

💕Hello Loves!💕

🌸As you know I had been wanting to try Pacifica products for the longest time and a few posts back I reviewed their Devocean lipstick for you guys 💖 You can check out that review here.

🌸Today I’ll be reviewing their Dreamy Cover Serum Foundation I had read really good reviews about it so decided to try it out for myself.

🌸Now I’m not a foundation wearer at all, I don’t need heavy coverage neither do I think it suits me. Usually a tinted moisturizer is all I use but since Pacifica products are all natural and vegan I decided it was time to venture into the land of foundation.

🌸Let’s start with the packaging, like most Pacifica products the packaging is beautiful. The cardboard box and the bottle have gold, pink and white🌸 florals embossed on them. The foundation comes in a 1 oz plastic bottle with a pump dispenser.

🌸It offers buildable medium to full mineral based coverage with an SPF of 20. 100% vegan, no silicones and is available in three shades Fair/Light, Light/Medium, and Medium/Dark.

🌸I went with light medium and it was a perfect match for my skin. It covers fairly well though no where near to full coverage. The foundation itself is very runny however it dries very quickly to a semi matte satiny finish.

🌸In terms of staying power it started to crease after a few hours given the heat and humidity here. However it felt weightless on my skin which is what I want in any product I put on my face.

🌸Overall I would rate this product as a 4/5. Have you tried Pacifica products which one would you recommend?

✨Shopaholic’s Best DIY Hair Removal Products✨

Hello loves! 🔅

Summer is here and that means smooth , bare skin😍. Today I’ve compiled a list of DIY hair removal techniques that I’ve  tried and tested in my search for smooth, hair free skin🌹.

For most of us the obvious choice is shaving however since a disastrous run in with my dad’s razor as a child I stear clear of anything sharp and so my first obvious choice was :

From hot waxes to cold waxes I have tried them all and my personal favorites are the Veet strips💕. They are no fuss, no mess everything is contained in the package. All you do is warm the strips in your hands press on and pull off. The package comes with cleansing wipes so clean up is a snap and you can shower after if you find yourself still sticking to things 😉.image.jpeg

This is another great option if the idea of yanking away at your skin makes you feel squeamish or your skin is irritated by waxes. There are several brands on the market that offer epilators. Philips, Braun, Emjoi and Panasonic are my favorites . They employ the same technology as waxing i.e pulling the hair from the roots which means no more ingrowns or stubble when the hair grows back usually after two weeks .

⚡️ Hair Removal Creams

I admit I tried my hand at hair removal creams, however what appeared to be a seemingly pain/hassle free option, turned out to be a 😷smelly, slimy, itchy disaster!

Never again 🚫

⚡️ IPL

At home IPL machines make use of the same technology used in spas and doctors offices .IPL works by emitting a wavelength into the skin, which in the case of hair removal targets the dark  pigment in the hair . The light is absorbed turned into heat which destroys the hair follicles. Easy peasy ✨ basically all you have to do is point and zap ⚡️.

Unfortunately IPL only works for light to medium skin and dark hair, so if you have blonde or red hair you might not be able to use it 😑.

So whats the verdict? IPL is a great option to explore, if you are looking for temporary hair reduction. Thats right, once you stop zapping the hair will return. Unless you get it done professionally .

Also most IPL’s have a light cartridge that needs to be replaced every 1000 flashes ( Varies according to brand).

Below are the brands that are highly rated:

⚡️Veet Silk Infini Pro IPL hair removal system – This is the one i used, the treatment head is a good size so you can zap more hair at once. However after a 1000 rounds in the boxing ring the cartridge died out and i never got around to replacing it. Easy to use, effective, a good one to try if you have never used IPL before. Priced around $350. Got mine at Amazon.

⚡️Remington Ilight Pro Plus Quartz – I was initially considering this because it is cordless. Same technology as the Veet. Priced at $398.99. Available at Amazon, bed, bath and beyond and http://www.remingtonproducts.com.

⚡️Philips Lumea Comfort IPL Hair Removal System– offers 200,000 flashes for 4+ years of full body treatments, no replacement lamps needed. Priced between $199-$250. Available at Amazon, http://www.boots.com, http://www.usa.philips.com/e/hair-removal/ , http://www.philips.co.uk.

⚡️Tria – I have personally used this after my Veet died and i found it takes forever! The treatment head is a tiny circle which means prolonged zapping sessions. This is especially a pain when you are doing large areas like your legs. It has diode technology which results in permanent hair removal and is FDA cleared to be used on the face ( no more handle bar mustache). Priced at $449. Available at Amazon, QVC, Ulta, Sephora.

⚡️So there you have it ladies ! My tried and tested recommendations for DIY hair removal✨ How many of these products or methods have you tried and which do you recommend?

⚡️Your comments and suggestions are always welcome 😇😘.

✨Shopaholic’s Product Review : Rimmel Exaggerate EyeLiner✨

🌺Hello Loves!

🌺I’m super excited about the product I’m going to be reviewing today 💕. I am a huge fan of eyeliner, it enhances the eyes and takes your eye makeup to the next level.

🌺I consider myself a novice at makeup with eyeliner being the one product I can apply  with somewhat ease 😋.

🌺After trying several brands and types of eyeliners I found that for me powder and pencil work best. The eyeliner I’m reviewing today is the✨ Rimmel Exaggerate  Eyeliner in Blackest Black✨.

🌺This is a retractable pencil eye liner that comes in a 0.28 gram tube. One end features the liner and the other is a smudge sponge to give a smoky effect. I got mine from the Boots pharmacy for AED 30.

🌺The color is a deep, rich black and the liner goes on smoothly without any tugging. The wearability is where this product  wins hands down 🏆. 8 hours out of which 2 hours were spent walking for 12 km in 34 degrees Celsius weather and the liner did not budge, crease or smear✨! Did I say love? 😍

🌺I give this product 5/5!✨ A total winner on all aspects in my opinion and highly recommended !

🌺Have you guys used this product? What are some of your tested and favorite eyeliners? Let me know in the the comments below!

Until next time xoxo! 💋

💋Shopaholic’s Product Review: Pacifica Devocean Lipstick 💋

💋Hello Beauties!💋

💋I’m super excited about today’s product review✨I have been wanting to try the Pacifica brand for ages but since it’s not available in the UAE I was majorly p’od 😡.

💋Luckily Amazon came to the rescue and I received my package a few days ago 🎉.

💋The Pacifica brand features 100% vegan products that are formulated without: Animal ingredients (including carmine, beeswax and lanolin), animal testing, FD&C colors, mineral oil, parabens, phthalates, petroleum, porpylene glycol, SLS, gluten, peanut oil and other nasty ingredients.

✨The lipsticks are available in five shades and retail for $14 for a 0.7 ounce tube. I opted for the color Firebird because it’s a beautiful, vibrant shade of red😍. I don’t usually wear lipstick but when I do i want to go bold and beautiful ❤️!

💋First off the packaging is gorgeous ! Both the cardboard box and the lipstick inside have beautiful gold graffiti type art on them.

💋The lipstick itself is very creamy, hydrating and nicely pigmented. The color is an orange red not a blue red as you might make out from the packaging. It is a bright color that will work great with a range of skin tones and is perfect for both day and night.

💋In terms of long wearing it unfortunately doesn’t deliver 😞. After 3 hours it had gotten a whole lot lighter than when I had put it on and after eating and drinking it was completely gone.

💋Overall I would rate this lipstick 4/5. I would totally buy it again and am looking forward to trying the other colors as well. I am slowly weeding out all of my old cosmetics that are not vegan and/or made from natural and organic ingredients and Pacifica products are a great addition to my collection 💕.

💋Have you tried any of Pacifica products? Would you try this lipstick? Let me know in the comments 😘

Until next time xoxo💋!

✨Shopaholic’s Favorite💖 Beauty Hacks ✨

Hello Loves 💞!Today I will be sharing some of my favorite beauty and fashion hacks 🕵! Every beauty maven and fashionista has her own tips and tricks, little shortcuts that make life a tad easier and for a whole lot cheaper 🤑now who doesn’t love that! Some of you might have already tried and/or heard of some of these 😱! For others this might be an introduction, in any case sit back and enjoy as I take you through the hack list of a shopaholic 💫

Dry Shampoo hack ✨,
✨ The reason this hack is first is because I hate washing my hair😡. It takes too long and then I have to condition it, wait for it to dry and turn into a frizzy, fluffy ball then straighten it…you get the idea 😒.I try to extend time between washings which is not always easy cause my roots get oily pretty quick.

✨ Now commercial dry shampoos work fine ( some of them). But here’s the problem, they are pricey💸, they run out too fast 👎🏼and they are chock full of chemicals. Here’s where the hack comes in, you can make dry shampoo in your own kitchen for a fraction of the price! All you need is : arrowroot powder about 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons of Dutch cocoa powder + 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder. (If you have lighter hair omit the cocoa powder, I have super dark hair so I feel it blends in better with the cocoa😇).

✨Mix together keep in an airtight container and use like you would regular dry shampoo! Plus you get the added benefit of smelling like chocolate and cinnamon yumm!.

✨Tinted Moisturizer hack ✨Don’t feel like full coverage, but don’t want to invest in a tinted moisturizer or CC cream? No problem just mix a pump or two of your foundation (liquid💧) with your moisturizer and voila!✨ your own tinted moisturizer/CC cream!

✨Skimpy eyelashes hack

✨I have tried this countless times! I don’t have skimpy eyelashes nor do I have lush lashes I fall squarely in between 😒. At times however when I am too rough removing my eyemakeup or just rub the crap out of my eyes my lashes do fall out at random 😱. Castor oil to the rescue ! Just use a cotton swab to apply castor oil to your lashes just before bedtime and you will see thicker, longer lashes guaranteed !✨

Crossback bra hack

✨Wearing a halter dress or tank tops and don’t own a Crossback bra? No biggie, take a medium sized paper clip and thread it through the bra straps at the back to make a temporary cross back bra and hide those pesky bra straps out of sight. You can buy the real bra clips later here.

Face scrub hack,  ✨Run out of exfoliator? Rummage through your pantry. Baking soda is an ingredient in most everybody’s kitchen. Mix two tablespoons baking soda with 1 tablespoon lemon juice and apply to your face. Rub gently over your face as you would with a convention scrub and wash off. Smooth, glowing skin yes indeed ✨!

Eyeshadow hack, ✨ Eye primer and concealer not making those shadows bright enough? Apply a white liner pencil on your lid after your primer and brush on your shadow, the white will make the colors pop!✨ This works really well on pastel or lighter shades that don’t show up too well especially if you have a darker skin tone.

Sweaty Feet hack,  ✨As gross as it sounds, sweaty feet in the summer are sometimes unavoidable especially if you are wearing closed toe shoes.

✨Never fear, all you need is an anti perspirant and you’re good to go. Just make sure you use a separate one for your feet 😷. Roll on the anti perspirant on the soles of your feet let dry for a few minutes and you are good too go!👣

✨There you have it peeps! Shopaholic’s beauty hacks✨! How many of these have you tried ? Let me know right here!

Until next time xoxo!💋

💕Shopaholic’s Product Review : It Cosmetics 💕

💟Hello Loves!💟

✨It’s product review time and today I’m going to be reviewing a product, well two produts actually since they came as a duo✨that I use almost everyday and highly recommend! 💖  ✨The “⚜It Cosmetics Vitality Flush Color Stain and Hello Light Creme Luminizer⚜“duo💕! I got this set from QVC when it was on a special price of $29 and it’s been worth every penny✨. As you probably know I’m not much of a makeup 💄maven so I’m always on the lookout 🕵for products that can perk up my face without much effort on my part 😉.  ✨These two products do just that💯. Let’s start with the packaging first, they both come identically packaged in shiny, silver, chunky tubes. That is a bit of a bummer actually because the only way I can tell them apart ( I sound like a mother of 👶🏽👶🏽twins here 😁). Is by turning them upside down constantly and checking the label so I don’t accidentally walk around with pink undereyes and champagne lips 😳.  ✨These are twisty tubes just like a lipstick and are a generous size 0.26 ounces per tube, which means they last a long time. I’ve been using mine for three months now and I have tons left 😇.

✨The lipstain 💋is called “Jene sais quoi” it starts out clear and turns a lovely subtle pink when it touches your skin. It is moisturizing and keeps your lips soft and hydrated .You can use it on yours cheeks as well for a flush of color but personally I found it too greasy for my face. I prefer the good old powder blushes when it comes to my face, call me old fashioned 😉

✨The luminizer has been a lifesaver for me honestly. 💖 I have had so many people ask me what I’m wearing to make my skin glow and this is it 💕.  ✨ I even use it on days I don’t feel like wearing concealer or foundation and it works perfectly.  I slick it under my eyes blend it out and voila bright and awake eyes 👁✨in a snap💫! I know in the skin swatch it looks very glimmery but i had to really rub it several times on my skin for it to show up in the pictures. It blends out beautifully and lightens and highlights your skin 💖! You can totally use it on your Cupid’s bow and your cheeks for extra bling ✨!

✨There you have it guys, my absolute fave 💗 products ✨Hope you enjoyed the review😘 let me know if you have tried these products I would love to hear from you!
