💋Shopaholic’s Product Review : Burts Bees Lipstick 💋

Hello peeps!💞

Time for another product review😍 I have been actively searching for natural, organic beauty products lately and I was thrilled when Burts Bees finally came out with their lipsticks❗️

I have been using and loving their lip crayons and tinted balms for the longest time. So when I came upon these I snapped them up immediately.

These are full coverage, highly moisturizing lipsticks with a satiny finish that come in a range of 14 gorgeous shades. Made with 100% natural ingredients🍃 morninga and raspberry oils and vitamin e to condition your lips.

They come in a plastic tube with a bee hive pattern along the sides 😍!The lipsticks themselves are easy to apply with vibrant colors, however they are not long lasting I would say a 2-3 hours at the most without eating or drinking.

I chose the shades, Ruby Ripple, a gorgeous red, and Sunset Cruise, a lovely coral 💋.

My rating 4/5 ✨Do try these lipsticks out if you can they are available at Target, Burts Bees.com and Holland and Barette stores. What are some of your favorite Burts Bees products?

🍃Shopaholic’s Product Review : Lush Love Lettuce Mask🍃

Hello Loves!💕

Today’s product review is one that was totally unplanned. In fact I wasn’t even aware I had this particular product with me until I popped open my refrigerator ❄️.

So yesterday was a typical, scorching 🔥Dubai summer☀️ day with temperatures hitting 120 🌡degrees. When I finally came back in the house after running some unexpected errands I literally felt like my face was on fire 🔥.

Desperate to cool off I opened the referigerator and stuck my face in and that was when I caught sight of a familiar black pot siting in the corner of the door shelf.

It was the Lush Love Lettuce Mask. I probably forgot all about it since it was a referigerated mask that I chucked in the fridge once I got home. The Love Lettuce Mask, is an exfoliating mask for oily and/or combination skin made with ground almonds, lavender and almond oil and fillers earth.

The mask has a mild, lavender scent and a gritty texture. According  to the package you are supposed to leave it on for 10 mins then dampen your fingers and gently remove.
Before applying my skin was irritated from the heat, and greasy in the T- zone. Post washing my skin felt soft and literally refreshed. I followed with the Lush Vanishing Cream for a complete spa facial effect right at home 😍.I give this mask a 5/5 ✨. It calmed down my irritated skin, swept away all the oil and debris on my face and left my face soft, moisturized and can I say glowing?✨

All in all one of my favorite purchases from Lush💕. Which is your favorite Lush mask? I would love to know your recommendations 😇
Until next time xoxo💋❗️

🚫Shopaholic’s Review :  Products That Didn’t Live Up To The Hype🚫

💕Hi Guys!

🚫Today I’m going to be talking about a product that missed the mark totally 🎯. Yup❗️not every product can be a winner sadly and this is just one of those duds 👎🏼.

🚫I had very high hopes for this product as it is from a brand that has met and/or exceeded my expectations everytime. So you can imagine I was very excited to be trying it out, especially since it came highly recommended and reviewed.

🚫The Lush American Cream Conditioner✨

Lately my hair has been feeling very 🍂dry and getting unusually frizzy 🐩owing to the ever mounting heat 🔅and humidity💧 and since I am stuck on using only organic products my options are severely limited.

🚫This particular conditioner was recommended to me by the sales associate at Lush as well as having people raving about it online. When I used it however I could tell immediately by the texture that it was not moisturizing at all. The texture though thick coming out of the bottle didn’t feel creamy on my hair at all despite that fact that I applied it liberally and even left it on for more than my usual five min mark. On a positive note it did smell yummy like vanilla cake 🍰, however since I wasn’t going to eat it that didn’t really matter 👎🏼

🚫When I washed it out my hair felt just the way it did post shampooing i.e dry it didn’t feel like I had conditioned it all😐.

🚫Combing my hair was as difficult as I had feared post washing, it was tangled, knotted and eventually I had to use my Phyto leave in conditioner to attempt get the comb down the entire length of my hair. 😡

🚫Once dry my hair felt awfully dry and crunchy and frizzy 🍂💥. I had to apply some argan oil to the ends to try and smooth it out it was so bad😡. When I checked the ingredients I found Sodium Laureth Sulphate and Cetearal alcohol,Benzyl Alcohol and Benzoin Resinoid and Chloride 😱🚫Since I have been using sulphate free products in a while obviously my hair and body aren’t used to them anymore and what are they doing in Lush Products anyway

🚫Needless to say I was incredibly annoyed, not only did I have to go to the salon and have them use a deep conditioning treatment on my hair to combat the awful frizz I’m returning this crappy product ASAP❗️ I just hope the Lush store here honors their return policy 😡😡
🚫This is one product from Lush that has been a sore disappointment 🚫❌. Have you tried any Lush products that were bombs? 💣 Let me know 😘

Until next time xoxo❗️💋

🍃Shopaholic’s Product Review : Lush Herbalism Cleanser 🍃

🍃Hey Everyone❗️

🍃Welcome to another fabulous product review✨ I know I’ve not been very active on the blog lately, but I’ve been bogged down by assignments ➕ I am fasting , so I am literally sapped of all energy 💧during the day.

🍃Anyway since I finished my assignment a week ahead of the deadline for once 🎉. I made a beeline for the mall the very next day 😍🛍. I had run out of my cleanser, moisturizer and body wash so I was really looking forward to some much needed retail therapy.💸

🍃Since it was the middle of the week in Ramadan🌙 no less, the mall was deserted 😍❗️So for once I was able to go into the Lush store and look around in peace ☮. Usually the store is packed 😡 and the assistants are harried and you have to wait forever to get a turn at the basins 💧to try out something.

🍃Today, I was assisted by one of their lovely employees who let me try out the different products to my hearts 💕content and I came away clutching my haul happily.

🍃The product i’m going to review, is the 🍃Lush Herbalism Cleanser. Lately my skin has been going into oil production overdrive and using conventional acne cleansers including my beloved Alba Botanica were not helping matters 😡. Plus my regular moisturizer was leaving my skin looking like fly paper so I figured it was time for a change.

The 🍃Herbalism cleanser is unlike any I’ve tried before. It is a bright green, crumbly, damp powder which is tightly packed in the standard black Lush pot.

🍃Key ingredients : Kaolin clay, rice bran and ground almonds . 🍃You take a small pinch of the cleanser, wet💦 your fingers and rub in into your palm. When it comes in contact with water it becomes like a paste which you can then rub over your face. It doesn’t have any discernible fragrance just a very mild herby scent.🍃 It does not foam or produce any suds, instead it had a mild scrub like texture. Weird I know, I am so accustomed to suds that I was very skeptical about the product actually cleaning my face.

🍃However once I dried my face I was pleasantly surprised to find that my face was not only clean it was sans that dryness and tightness that I get post  washing that immediately makes me reach for my moisturizer.

🍃My skin felt soft and clean, though I did follow it up with the Lush Vanishing Cream ( Review coming soon!). I really can’t be without moisturizer.😳 Fast forward 8 hours later my skin is moisturized and soft but not oily✨ No shiny, spot a mile away T zone❗️

🍃All in all so far I’m really liking this cleanser, I admit the oil control factor has to do with using in conjunction with the Vanishing cream. Even so I give it 4/5

🍃Have you guys tried the Herbalism cleanser? What are your favorite products from Lush?

Until next time xoxo💋❗️

✨Shopaholic Tries Online 🛍Shopping✨

Hello Peeps!💕

✨Now to those of you who might find this title a tad bit befuddling . (Hello❗️what’s so earth 🌎shattering about online  shopping❓)

✨Let me clarify, while online shopping might be a way of routine life elsewhere in the world (I miss you Amazon.com 😫). Here in the good old UAE it’s pretty much a foriegn concept.

✨So you can imagine how excited I was when I finally came upon an online retailer that offered not only the convenience of online shopping (granted its a tad bit primitive, what can I say my time in California has spoiled me 🤗) but also cash on delivery 🤑.

✨Nevertheless since beggars can’t be choosers and I couldn’t find this particular product in stores I decided to give Barsha Care a try.

✨Barsha Care is a UAE based online retailer that offers a wide range of premium skin care and beauty products that are certified and registered in the UAE. You have the option of paying online or upon delivery. Products are delivered within one working day.

✨The brand list is not exhaustive, neither do they offer many organic🍃 and vegan products but if you are a mainstream product user you will find something you like. I was lucky to find the Dr Hauschka line which was not available anywhere else.

✨I placed my order online, and was given the option of choosing three samples to add to my order.

✨Since my order was above 100 AED I got free delivery. I received a call the next day to confirm the delivery day and time and sure enough one working day later I had my items. 😇

✨I ordered the Dr Hauschka Neem Oil treatment for cuticles since my nails and cuticles are a disaster 😖at the moment. (Why do these things happen to me❓😫).

✨Dr Hauschka is a holistic skin care line that offers specially designed cosmetics, skin care products and essential oil treatments to restore vitality and radiance by harnessing the power of natural ingredients.🍃

✨The items arrived packaged in a cardboard box with the Barsha Care logo.

✨The nail treatment is in a pen tip applicator tube you press down on the tip to dispense the oil. It is 73 AED for a 3 ml tube which is horrendously steep 💸😡.

✨The samples are also tinny😪, and are for a single use 💦only 😐. I am really excited to try the Filorga anti fatigue mask, which I’ve heard great reviews about and can’t afford otherwise 😢.The other sample is some sort of serum from the Skin Ceuticals brand I’ve never tried this one before. Lastly there is the good old Bio Derma gel cream. I swear whats with these samples being Barbie sized❓  ✨So that’s it peeps, so far I’ve had a good experience with Barsha Care in terms of their delivery. Their prices 💰are the same as those in stores so you don’t get the conventional benefit savings that you traditionally associate with shopping online.

✨Would I shop here again? Maybe if I can’t find that item in stores, was it a fulfilling, mood lifting, world changing shopping experience ? No way! no coupons, no specials, no offer codes... Thanks but I’ll stick with Amazon 😘

✨Where do you guys shop online? Let me know I’m all ears👂🏻😁.

💄What’s In My Basket❓ A Shopaholic’s Beauty Stash💄

Hello Lovelies !💟

💟Today I’m going to give you guys a peak inside my bathroom basket. As you know I’m a skincare junkie and I love trying new organic products 💕.Since my bathroom lacks adequate storage space I have to make do with putting my things in baskets on any available surface space😐.

💟Lately however, my basket has been overflowing with items making it difficult for me to get to things without having to tip the whole lot out.😳 So I decided It was time to do a toss and repurchase  pile.

💟Ready for the big reveal ❓Here goes 💕!

💟Lets start sorting

💟Lets get the hair accessories out of the way first , starting with my Body Shop hairbrush which I love 💕. I ended up repurchasing this as I broke the old one 😪. Then there is my big old wide toothed comb which is a must post hair washing for detangling. I cannot imagine even attempting to sort my hair without it .

💟 Then there are my assorted hair bands for keeping my overgrown bangs out of my face till I can find a hairdresser to give me the perfect fringe..sigh..If anyone in Dubai knows an awesome ✨hairdresser please do let me know.

💟I love fragrances so I always have an assortment at hand these are my current favs – Estée Lauder Pleasures, Chanel Chance, Crab Tree & Evelyn Pear & Magnolia & of course the good old Bath and Body Works mini for on the go spritzes .😘

💟My Andalou favorites , the 1000🌹 Roses Day cream , Visibly Firm Day cream, Chia Seed Exfoliator and the Natural Glow oil . Repurchase yes please ! ✨

💟My other long term favorite MooGoo, this is an Australian brand that makes all natural, organic 🍃products. I currently use their Brightening cream, SPF 40,lipshine by Dusty girls a sister company of MooGoo, the natural deodorant, 3 Vitamin Eye Serum, Super Vitamin Eye Serum and Tamanu oil.   Repurchase maybe 🤔

💟The Lush dream cream,Gurugu hand cream I recently reviewed. Check it out here. Plus a recent purchase the Lush Enchanted Eye Cream 💕which I will be reviewing soon. Repurchase yes !

💟I found the Fade cream a while ago in Boots and decided to try it on some sun🔅 spots I got courtesy of Dubai 😡. After 3 weeks of usage I have seen zero results so this one will be a toss for sure. 👿

💟Plato’s scar serum and cream these came highly recommended but failed miserably at delivering 😡😡. Toss!

💟Crab Tree and Evelyn hand creams, I love theses minis 💕especially the Rose 🌹scented ones 💖. Repurchase yes please!

💟Finally the Morrocon Argan oil , I used this product all up, but didn’t see any remarkable results other than it being a good overall moisturizer. Repurchase maybe 🤔

💟The Juice Beauty Serum and Hair Smoothie which I got in my Petit Vour Box and honestly didn’t care for. Toss

💟There you have it guys✨ a peak inside my beauty basket ! Hope you guys enjoyed this post💕. Let me know your comments I would love to hear from you 😘.

✨Shopaholic’s Product Review : Pacifica Dreamy Cover Serum Foundation✨

💕Hello Loves!💕

🌸As you know I had been wanting to try Pacifica products for the longest time and a few posts back I reviewed their Devocean lipstick for you guys 💖 You can check out that review here.

🌸Today I’ll be reviewing their Dreamy Cover Serum Foundation I had read really good reviews about it so decided to try it out for myself.

🌸Now I’m not a foundation wearer at all, I don’t need heavy coverage neither do I think it suits me. Usually a tinted moisturizer is all I use but since Pacifica products are all natural and vegan I decided it was time to venture into the land of foundation.

🌸Let’s start with the packaging, like most Pacifica products the packaging is beautiful. The cardboard box and the bottle have gold, pink and white🌸 florals embossed on them. The foundation comes in a 1 oz plastic bottle with a pump dispenser.

🌸It offers buildable medium to full mineral based coverage with an SPF of 20. 100% vegan, no silicones and is available in three shades Fair/Light, Light/Medium, and Medium/Dark.

🌸I went with light medium and it was a perfect match for my skin. It covers fairly well though no where near to full coverage. The foundation itself is very runny however it dries very quickly to a semi matte satiny finish.

🌸In terms of staying power it started to crease after a few hours given the heat and humidity here. However it felt weightless on my skin which is what I want in any product I put on my face.

🌸Overall I would rate this product as a 4/5. Have you tried Pacifica products which one would you recommend?
