Shopaholic Reviews: Shirley Conlon Body Butter🍃

Hola Love Bunnies🐰!

🍃Hope you are all doing awesome! I have been fairly absent from blogging lately 😖, but I have been so bogged down with studies I simply couldn’t find the energy to pen down anything for the blog 😩.

🍃Anyways I’ll try to be more regular starting today and you guys can expect to see a new post every week 😬. So today’s post is a product review featuring a local Dubai brand : Shirley Conlon Body Butter.

🍃I can across this brand when I was searching on Instagram for locally made organic skincare products. I had run out of my diy body cream and the ingredients to make any more batches😓. So while the new ones were on the way I needed something to keep my skin moisturized💦.

🍃The hard water 💧and dry ☀️weather makes for really itchy and dry skin here in the UAE. So long story short I placed an order via the website and a week later my product was delivered. I paid 140 aed which is around $38. Steep 💸 I know 😓 but the product sounded promising so I figured maybe it would be worth it …. Not!

🍃First off the Body Butter was more like body oil 💦it was totally melted and had leaked all over the plastic container it came in as well the packaging😡. Which was annoying but I figured ok it’s a natural product they don’t use chemicals or binders so no big deal I’ll keep it in the fridge to harden up. Now please note it was listed on the website as a whipped cream consistency.

🍃However once I took it out of the fridge it had solidified into a solid block 😳. So I figured never mind I’ll keep it out at room temperature which in my house is around 24 degrees 🌡celcius and it will soften up. Guess what? It turned back into a melted mess again! 😫 I was like what on earth?! I paid💰 that much for a tub of oil?!

🍃Part of me wanted to chuck it out because I was totally frustrated by that point. I mean if I wanted a body oil I would have just gotten one that was just that: an oil! 😖. I didn’t want to call them and complain because they had taken over a week to ship out the damned thing with no communication in between whatsoever, so I wasn’t expecting any amazing customer service from them anytime soon.

🍃So here’s what I did instead I had about  half a jar of my diy cream left so I melted  my cream and mixed it with the tub of Shirley Conlon Body Butter/Oil 😒 and cooled the lot together in the freezer for a few mins and then whipped it with my handy little mixer into voila : a cream!😍 And it worked ! I had a jar of creamy body butter at last! 🎉

🍃Whew! I was so thrilled ! I was honestly pissed into speechlessness when I saw what I had received from the company. However a little ingenuity on my part saved the day, my cash and the product😇.

🍃Here is the finished version of the body cream or butter I chucked the offending jar of Shirley Conlon out and reused my old diy cream jar 😍.

🍃Doesn’t that look creamy and delicious❓😉. I’m so happy it worked out in the end 😇. Would I recommend Shirley Conlon products ? No way! I think I’ll stick to making my own creams from now on ✨.

🍃Have you guys ever bought any products that were total disasters? Let me know about them in the comments section 😘.

🍃Until next time loves 💕💋!

🍃Shopaholic’s Review : Lush Mask of Magnaminty🍃

🍃Hello peeps❣

🍃It’s product review time again and this time we are reviewing my favorite product to use in the summer: face masks

🍃I apply face masks atleast 4-5 days a week in the summer🔆. While that may seem excessive to most people, during summers my skin goes into oil overdrive, mins after after I wash my face its sticky and greasy again. TMI❓😉

🍃My favorite masks from Lush are the Ayesha and the Love Lettuce💞.

🍃However both of those masks need to be refrigerated which was not an option for me as I was traveling. So I picked out the Mask of Magnaminty from the Lush store in Oxford Street. The Mask of Magnaminty is a self preserving mask, meaning it has an abundance of honey which means it’s travel friendly since it doesn’t require refrigeration❄️.

🍃The mask is primarily meant for acne prone skin and contains peppermint and China clay for a deep pore clean, aduki beans for exfoliation and vanilla to calm the skin. I just slather it on leave it for 10 mins and then rinse it of, it clears away all the oil and leaves the skin with a minty tingle.

🍃I think it’s a good mask for freshening up the skin, that being said I don’t enjoy using it as much as I did the Love lettuce or Ayesha. With those masks I could see my skin actually glowing✨ and feeling very soft and hydrated. This mask does help with the oil factor but I didn’t really see an amazing or noticeable difference in my skin.
🍃Will I be repurchasing this mask❓I don’t think so I’ll stick with my other Lush favorites 💞. However for traveling or hassle free storage this is a good, basic mask.
🍃What are some of your favorite Lush masks❓I would love to know 😘

🍃Until next time xoxo💋❣

🍓Shopaholic Quick Review:Han Cosmetics Powder Blush 🍓

🍓Hello Ladies ❣

🍓Welcome to a quickie product review✨

🍓I recently picked up the Hans Cosmetics Powder Blush since I had previously tried and really liked their eyeshadow single in taupe.

🍓Since I suck at makeup, and the eyeshadow was something I could simply swipe on my eyelid and still look pretty darn awesome 😱 I decided to get their blush as well since blush is one of my everyday get ready staples.

🍓Hans blushes are made of rice powder instead of talc, and are vegan and cruelty free  🍃.

🍓The shade I chose is called Strawberry Pink. It comes in the signature Hans packaging a sleek round pot, you get about 4 grams of product for $15💰. Since you only use a little at a time, unless you are planning to rock the clown cheeks look, it will last quiet a while. 😁

🍓The color is quiet intense and you really need a swipe on the pad otherwise you will end up with startlingly pink cheeks and a lot of blending. While I’m not blown away by the color it is a nice addition to my blush collection which as of now stands at a measly two 😝.
🍓Will I buy this again, I probably will but in a different color for sure I don’t think this particular shade is me.
🍓Have you guys tried Hans cosmetics? Which shade do you recommend?

Until next time loves xoxo💋❗️

🍃Shopaholic’s Favorite : 100% Pure Black Tea Mascara 🍃

🍃Hello Loves💞❗️

🍃I’ve had a really awful experience with mascara in the past, dried up formulas, clunky wands, stuck together, fake looking lashes you know the drill😒.

🍃I recently purchased and loved the 100% pure pomegranate lipstick so much I went ahead and bought the 100% pure black tea mascara.

🍃First off the packaging is super ❣cute, a shiny silver metal tube with white floral motifs. The mascara itself is a super, rich black and smells so sweet like berries🍓.

🍃The formula is very 💧hydrating and the brush coats the lashes evenly without clumping. I do not use a eye lash curler, neither do I wear falsies or have super long lashes. This mascara extends my lashes and curls them up and out and lasts for hours. It isn’t really water proof as it states but unless you intend on bawling your eyes out or standing in a down pour ☔️it shouldn’t be an issue.

🍃It utilizes black tea and fruit pigments for color along with vitamin e, b5 and oat and wheat proteins to condition the lashes.

🍃All in all I love💕 this mascara, I rate it a 5/5✨❗️.

Let me know if you have tried any 100% pure cosmetics and which ones are your favorites 💞.

 Until next time xoxo💋

✨Shopaholic Enchanted ✨

💕Hey Guys!

✨Today’s product ✨review is going to be all about the eyes 👁. I am forever on the hunt🔎 for the holy grail👼🏼 of eye creams. One that can once and for all get rid of the dark circles, puffiness, lines and all those pesky problems all of us face.

✨This time I decided to try out the highly rated Lush Enchanted Eye Cream. I had already bought and am currently using their Dream Cream which I love💕 you check out that review here.     ✨The Enchanted Eye Cream comes in a 45 gram pump bottle with the signature black and white Lush packaging. It is formulated for both day and night use. Ingredients include almond oil, lavender water, jojoba oil and glycerin  ✨It has a very light consistency, not too thick but not runny either. You really need a tiny amount, it absorbs quickly and moisturizes the delicate eye area.

✨In terms of combating ⚒eye area problems it delivers fairly well at moisturizing, no more dry creepy skin, dark circles are improved, I haven’t had to use concealer since I started using this. Not to say that my dark circles are completely gone but they have gotten considerably lighter. I don’t have fine lines so i cannot comment on that aspect.

✨Overall I would rate this cream a 4.5/5!✨ Have you guys tried any Lush products? Which one do you recommend I would love to know! 😘
